March 31, 1964 ~ September 9, 2021 (age 57)

Mr. John Michael Schimek, 57, of Buena Vista passed away on September 9, 2021 at 
Phoebe-Sumter Medical Center. 

Mr. Schimek was born March 31, 1964 in Kenosha, WI to Darrell and Irene Miller 
Schimek.  He worked at Pratt & Whitney in the maintenance department and loved 
to work. Mr. Schimek was an avid Green Bay Packers fan, and loved to travel and 
spend time camping with his wife, Kim. 

Survivors include his loving wife, Kimberly Schimek of Buena Vista, GA: his 
parents, Darrell and Irene Schimek of Kenosha, WI; a son, Timothy Schimek of 
Columbus, GA; two daughters, Kristen Minter of Buena Vista, GA, and Shona Dailey 
(Jerry) of Ellaville, GA; a brother, Darrell Schimek, Jr. of Kenosha, WI; three 
sisters, Shirley Lang (Chris) of Racine, WI, Lois Seiber (John) of 
Andersonville, TN, and Carolyn Taylor (Todd) of Racine, WI; six grandchildren, 
Brendon Dailey (Alexandra), Cameron Dailey, Landon Dailey, Trentin Waycaster, 
Kymora Waycaster, and Makaila Waycaster; a great-grandchild, Averie Dailey; and 
several nieces and nephews.

Way-Watson Funeral Home, 1052 Dr. Deryl Hart Road, Buena Vista, Georgia has been 
entrusted with these arrangements.
