Lee Gordon Scott, 25, of Buena Vista, died Tuesday January 29, 2008 in Marion 
County.
A graveside service was held February 1, 2008 at 2 p.m. at the Scott Family 
Cemetery in Marion County. The family received friends at Tante Funeral Home 
in Buena Vista on Thursday from 6-8 p.m.
Mr. Scott was born April 15, 1982 ro L. G. "Buddy" and Donna Register Scott of 
Buena Vista. He put his children above all and his sons were the loves of his 
life. He was an adoring father, brother and son. His brothers were very 
special to him and he never went anywhere without his Dad. He lived in Buena 
Vista his entire life, was Baptist by faith, and was an avid outdoorsman. He 
was a self-employed heavy equipment operator in his own business, Scott 
Grading and Forestry. He will be greatly missed by all of his family and 
friends.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, L.J. and Ouida Scott, 
by Gertrude Scott, by his maternal grandfather James R Brown, and his great-
grandparents D.J. and Big Mama.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his maternal grandmother, Vivian 
Brown, of Midland, GA, by three sons, Dreyson Lee Scott, Trevor Lee Scott, and 
Nathan Evans Scott, and Cassie Minick Scott, the mother of his children, all 
of Buena Vista. He is also survived by two brothers, Lance and Kim Scott of 
Fortson, GA, and Lyle Scott of Buena Vista; six sisters, Deanna Dee and Scott 
Campbell of Ft. Myers, Fl, Lois and Thomas Cain of Richmond Hill, GA, Jessica 
Scott, Elizabeth Scott, Susan Scott, Sarah Scott, and April Bottoms, all of 
Buena Vista, Ga.; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, foster 
brothers and sisters, and friends also survive.
Tante Funeral Home of Buena Vista was in charge of the arrangements. Serving 
as pallbearers were Lance Scott, Deanna Scott Campbell, Scott Campbell, Steve 
Griffin, Justin Campbell, Thomas Cain, Jason Studdard, and Jerry Fussell. 
Honarary pallbearers were his cousins, "the Scott boys".

Additional Comments:
The Scott Family Cemetery is located on family land off of Hwy 137 spur on 
Johnny Miller Road in Marion Co.
Lee was killed in an auto accident.
