SEARCY, MARJORIE PERSON
Mrs. Searcy was born September 15, 1942 in Buena Vista, Marion County, GA, 
daughter of Mr. Harrison and Margaret E Holt Person.  She attended public 
schools in Marion County and was a member of Mt Olive Baptist Church in Buena 
Vista.  She moved to Atlanta in 1961 and joined the Hunter Hills First Bapitst 
Church, serving on the Usher Board.  She married Mr. Andrew Searcy in 
September 1961 and they had one child.  She died November 9, 1990.  Survivors 
include her husband, her son, Mr. Andra Searcy, her father, 5 brothers: Mr. 
James Lee Person, Mr. Harold Person, Mr. Ernest Charles, Mr. Ikey Charles and 
Mr. Jerry Charles of Chattanooga, TN; 2 sisters: Ms Annie Williams and Ms 
Elizabeth Williams of Augusta, GA, mother-in-law, Mrs. Lizzie Searcy of 
Chicago, IL; 5 sisters-in-law: Ms Marva Ownes of Philadelphia, PA, Mrs. Iva 
Lee Joiner, Ms Katherine Munfort of Chicago, IL, Mrs. Blanche Jordan, Mrs. 
Juanita Banks, 3 brothers-in-law, Mr. Robert Searcy, Mr. Terrill Searcy, Mr. 
Robert Banks, 2 step-daughters, Ms Earlene and Katherine Arnold, nieces, 
nephews and cousins.  Funeral services were held at 11:00 at Hunter Hills 
Baptist Church in Atlanta, GA; Reverend Dr. Arron Jones, Jr., Pastor, 
officiated.
