She was in the neighborhood of eighty-five years old, and was one of the best women the county has ever had. She was the mother of Messrs. T.P., W.J., J.R., A.L., B.F. and L.P. Short, Mrs. W.J. Guy, Mrs. W.T. Anthony and Miss Nancy Short. The Patriot will have something further to say about this good mother of Israel in a future issue. Additional Comments: Transcriber's Note: I don't know Mrs. Short's first name and was unable to find any additional articles in the paper about her. Most likely she is the individual listed as Short, N.G., 24 Sept 1814-5 Apr 1901 on the Brantley Methodist Cemetery listing.
