Martha Janice Simmons, age 54, of Buena Vista, Georgia died, Wednesday, August 
11, 2010 at her son’s residence in Perry, Georgia. 

Funeral services were held Saturday, August 14, 2010, at 11:00AM at the Chapel 
of Tante Funeral Home, Buena Vista, Georgia. The family received friends at 
Tante Funeral Home on Friday evening from 6 to 8 PM.

Mrs. Simmons was born July 12, 1956, the daughter of the late Roy (Ray) Lamar 
Grimes and Alla Belle Grimes.  She had lived in Marion County for the past 20 
years moving here from
Ft. Benning, Georgia, and was a member of the Church of Christ. She was a 
professional hair dresser and worked at Cuts By Us before her retirement. 

Survivors include her mother Alla Belle Grimes of Enterprise, Alabama, husband 
Danny P. Simmons of Buena Vista, Georgia; three sons Daniel (Danny) Simmons & 
Leslie of Perry, Georgia, Michael Dale Simmons & Christin of Sulzbach-
Rosenberg, Germany, and Jason Lynn Simmons of Salem, Alabama; one brother 
Jackie Lamar Grimes of Clearmont, Florida; three sisters Jean Kilpatrick and 
Shirley Rock both of Enterprise, Alabama, and Teresa Lott of Winter Garden, 
Florida. Six Grandchildren, Kaleb, Kennedy (Kiwi), Kodie, Haley, Coleman, and 
Kamden (Wiiman) Simmons also survive.  Mrs. Simmons was preceded in death by 
her father Ray Lamar Grimes and brother Little Roy Grimes.

Tante Funeral Home of Buena Vista, Georgia was in charge of arrangements.
