Garnett Ray Simmons
 Born: Fri Oct 27, 1944
 Died: Wed Oct 16, 2013

ELLAVILLE, GA --- Mr. Garnett Ray Simmons, age 68, died Wednesday, October 16, 
2013 at his residence in Ellaville, GA.  A memorial service will be held 
2:00PM Sunday, October 20, 2013 at Ellaville Baptist Church.  Rev. Ben 
Foxworth and Rev. Tom Teate will officiate.
 
      Mr. Simmons was born October 27, 1944 in Marion County, GA the son of 
the late Jack and Clara Simmons.  He was a truck driver and served in the 
National Guard.  Mr. Simmons was a member of Ellaville Baptist Church where he 
was a member of the Willing Workers Sunday school class.
 
     Mr. Simmons is survived by his wife, Shirley Simmons; two daughters, Gina 
Jones and husband Lester of Ellaville, GA, Stacey Story and husband Dale of 
Groveland FL; one brother, Horace Simmons and wife Kay of Ellaville;  and one 
sister, Helen Cain of Monroe, LA. Also surviving are four grandchildren, 
Courtney Simmons, Bailey Story, Calley Story and Gracie Jones.
 
     Watson-Giddens Funeral Home of Ellaville, GA is in charge of arrangements.
