Mrs. Frances Jewell Simmons, age 89, of Thomaston formerly of Lizella, died 
Thursday, October 1, 2015 at Providence Health and Rehab Center.

Mrs. Simmons was born in Marion County to the late Homer Sony and Lula Dovie 
McDaniel. She retired from the Willingham Cotton Mill and was a homemaker.

She is preceded in death by her husband, John Willis Simmons and son, Roy 
Simmons. Survivors include her daughters Mrs. Fannie (Carl) Cleveland of 
Thomaston Ga, Mrs. Carol Bloodsworth of Byron Ga, Mrs. Lula Mae Furr of Macon 
Ga, Mrs. Mary Frances (Gerald) Johnson of Thomaston Ga, Mrs. Connie (Tony) 
McCord of Arnoldsville Ga, sons Mr. Wilbur Simmons of Lizella Ga, Mr. Phil 
(Robin) Simmons of Lizella Ga, Mr. Larry Simmons of Macon Ga, Mr. Ricky 
(Christy)Simmons of Lizella Ga, Mr. Floyd (Beth) Simmons of Lizella Ga, sisters 
Mrs. Mary Ann Council of Milledgeville Ga, Mrs. Helen McDaniel of Macon Ga, Mrs. 
Verna Cummings of Hardwick Ga. 27 Grandchildren. 22 Great Grandchildren.

Graveside Services will be held on Sunday October 4, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. in Buena 
Vista City Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Watson-Tante Funeral 
Home in Buena Vista on Sunday October 4, 2015 from 2-3 p.m.

Coggins Funeral Home of Thomaston, Georgia, is in charge of arrangements.
