Died: Wed., Dec. 18, 2013

Rebecca Sue “Becky” Smith, 56, of Cusseta, GA, died Wednesday, December 18, 
2013, at Columbus Hospice in Columbus, GA.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, December 20, 2013, at 
Cusseta First Baptist Church with Reverend Mark Hudson officiating. Burial will 
be held on Saturday, December 21, 2013, at Red Bay Cemetery in Red Bay, FL. The 
family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, December 19, 2013, 
from 6-8 PM.

Mrs. Smith was born July 12, 1957, in Port St. Joe, FL, to Thomas Alva and Annie 
Sue Adkison Workman. She was Baptist by faith and a member of Cusseta First 
Baptist Church. She enjoyed reading and loved her dogs. She was employed by 
Scientific Atlanta as an Electronics Supervisor.

In addition to her parents, Tom and Sue Workman, she is survived by her husband, 
Ron Smith of Lecanto, FL; two sons, Dennis Workman and Jeremy Wild, both of 
Linwood, WA; one brother, Thomas Workman of Cusseta, GA; two sisters, Charlotte 
and Jim Valitzski of Hot Springs, NC and Debra and Bo Cosby of Cusseta, GA. 
Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Watson-Tante Funeral Home of Buena Vista, Georgia, is in charge of these 
arrangements.
