Marion Collector Dead

Buena Vista, Ga., Aug. 18 – D.S. Smith, Tax Collector of Marion County, died
last night of typhoid fever and was buried this afternoon in the Methodist
cemetery with Knights of Pythias honors.  Mr. Smith had filled his office for
several years and had a host of friends who will mourn his death. He is survived
by his wife, mother, several sisters and brothers.
