Margie Anne Stubbs, 65, of Mauk, died Monday, October 3, 2011, at her 
residence.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM on Thursday, October 6, 2011, at Mauk 
Baptist Church with Reverend Lorne Whitley officiating. Martha Whitley and 
Marty Evans will provide the music for the service. Burial will follow at Mauk 
Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Tony Whitley, Reed Brand, Larry Ogan, 
Jonathon Simmons, Steve Johnson, Jason Adams, Chris Whitley, and Chastin 
Brand. The family will receive friends at Watson-Tante Funeral Home on 
Wednesday evening from 6-8 PM.

Mrs. Stubbs was born June 12, 1946, in Butler, GA, to Cecil Alton and Marjorie 
Pike Whitley. She was Baptist and a member of Mauk Baptist Church. She had 
previously worked as a machine operator at Playtex in Manchester. In addition 
to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Bobby Stubbs.

She is survived by two brothers, Willard and Lenora Whitley  and Terry and 
Myra Whitley and by a sister, Helen and Raymond Simmons, all of Mauk; by five 
nieces, Lisa and Reed Brand, Kim and Larry Ogan, Kelly and Steve Johnson, 
Krystal Anderson, and Kandice Parker and by three nephews, Tony and Jan 
Whitley, Jason Adams and Jonathon Simmons. Several Great Nieces and Great 
Nephews also survive.
