Funeral services will be held at 3:00pm on Thursday, September 15, 2016 in the Chapel of Watson-Tante Funeral Home with Rev. Earl “The Pearl” Perry officiating. Burial will follow the service at Buena Vista Cemetery. Serving as active pallbearers will be Derrell Cook, Jimmy Varnum, Randy Tuning, Dwayne Layfield, Greg Smith, Bobby Hale, Adam Frantz and Mickey Mckinnion. Honorary Pallbearers will be Dennis Crenshaw, Chris Hale, Kenny Purvis, Rory Studdard, Jason Studdard, and Clifford Waller. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, September 14, 2016, from 6-8pm. Mr. Studdard was born September 21, 1952, to Elijah and Tommie Frady Studdard. He was an avid fisherman and loved spending time with his family and friends. Mickey was a free spirit and loved meeting new people. He loved riding motorcycles and was a member of the Americus Area Motorcycle Riders as well as ABATE of Georgia. He formed the Independent Riders. Known as the “Chicken Man,” he enjoyed raising chickens. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Lannie Studdard, Jerome Studdard, Amos Studdard, and Charles Studdard; and a sister, Jeanette Hanner. He is survived by his wife, Debbie Parker Studdard of Buena Vista, GA; a son, Mickey Studdard, Jr. of LaGrange, GA; two sisters, Sue McInnis of Americus, GA, and Jenny Koleszar of Columbus, GA; and two grandchildren, Bryce Studdard and Cadence Studdard. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to ABATE of GA, Inc., P.O.Box 116, Austell GA 30168. The family requests that you please consider being an organ donor.
