Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, April 4th at Waverly Hall Cemetery in Waverly Hall, Georgia, the Reverend Jerry Akin officiating. ‘Bob’ and his twin brother, William Carter Swint, ‘Billy’, were born on January 25, 1920, to the late Robert Lee Swint, Sr. and Camilla ‘Presh’ Carter Swint of Ellerslie, Georgia. They both attended Georgia Military Academy in College Park, GA . Bob was a veteran of the U. S. Army Air Corps, serving during World War II. He was predeceased by his parents, wife Lillian Warren Swint in 2010, son Robert Lee Swint, III in 2007, brothers William Carter Swint and James Alvin Swint. Survivors include sister Martha Warren, Columbus, GA, daughter Patricia (Rocky) Wade, son Carter Swint and daughter-in-law Ginger Swint, Buena Vista, GA, grandchildren Janna Sieg, Ozark, AL and Virginia Swint, Atlanta, GA, great – grandchildren Taytym Harmon, Montgomery, AL and Natalie Harmon, Ozark, AL and his ‘adopted’ family of caregivers at Sumter Retirement Village. After his army service, Bob worked as Parts Manager for Wight Motor Company in Buena Vista and later as a Rural Letter Carrier for the United States Postal Service-Buena Vista Post Office. He was a member and Deacon of First Baptist Church of Buena Vista. In his leisure time, he loved to fish, hunt, and train his bird dogs. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to First Baptist Church of Buena Vista or to the Marion County Middle/High School Nature Study Program, One Eagle Drive, Buena Vista, GA 31803.
