PASSING NEWS


Mr. Newt Smith, a prominent citizen of Marion
County, died at the home of his daughter at Cordele
on last Monday.  He had been a sufferer for years
with a cancer which eventually caused his death.
His remains were brought home Tuesday and interred
at the family cemetery near Draneville.
