Death of a little Boy

Blueville, Ga., Feb. 23, 1902

It is our sad duty to chronicle the death of the little babe of Mr. and Mrs. 
H.F. Taylor.  George Edward was born May 17, 1900 and departed this life Feb. 
19, 1902, making his stay on earth 1 year, 9 months, 3 days.  While here only 
for a few months, yet long enough to become very dear to his parents and 
relatives.  Yet, we should remember that Jesus has said, “Suffer little 
children to come unto me, forbid them not, for of such is the kingdom of 
heaven.”  Little George was laid to rest at Mt. Pisgah church, Marion County, 
Ga.

The little babe is gone to rest,
To reign with God forever blest;
Its little tongue will ever praise
A savior’s love, redeeming grace.

We could not wish him back again,
But say, dear George with God remain
We try to gain that peaceful shore,
Where those who meet will part no more.
