Box 382 Buena Vista, GA 31803 Phone (229)649-2478 Fax (229)649-2446 Wilba Deen Tante, age 92, of Butler, Georgia, died Friday, December 25, 2009, at her residence. Funeral services were held at 11:00 AM Monday, December 28, 2009, at Butler United Methodist Church with burial in Butler Cemetery. Rev. Pam France, Rev. Jay Frasier and Chris Covington officiated. Serving as active pallbearers were Homer Barrow, Edward Benns, Ronnie Clark, Bussey Hammack, Billy Hardwick, and Bobby Smith. The family received friends at Tante Funeral Home Sunday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Mrs. Tante was born August 9, 1917, the daughter of the late Herbert and Lula Cooper Wilchar.  She had lived in Butler all of her life and was a life long active member of Butler United Methodist Church, where she sang in the choir. She taught Sunday school many years and was a salesperson for Liberty National Life Insurance. She was faithful to both Taylor County and Indian Springs Holiness Camp Meetings. Her presence and prayers were a strong constant for Indian Springs Holiness Camp Meeting. Now, not only her children, but grandchildren and great grandchildren are part of the Indian Springs family. During her lifetime, she also was the owner of Tante's Toggery as well as being an award winning Avon salesperson. She was the widow of Thomas E. Tante. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Suzanne Tante. Survivors include her son Herbert Tante and wife Juanita of Buena Vista, Georgia, daughter Margaret Reeves of Butler, Georgia. Four Grandchildren, June von Neumann, Kathy Houp & Ron, Chris Reeves & Marijim, Joan Rodgers and Kevin and ten Great Grandchildren, Roseanna & Kasey Harbuck, Will Houp, Madison von Neumann, Sarah Houp, Emily Houp, Christopher Houp, Haley Rodgers, Suzannah Reeves, Silas Reeves, and Amanda Mariah Reeves, also survive.
