Mickey Todd “Buckshot” Taylor, 49, of Buena Vista, GA, passed away on Monday, 
March 13, 2023, at his residence surrounded by family. Funeral services will be 
held at 11:00AM on Thursday, March 16, 2023, at Tazewell Baptist Church with 
Bro. Troy Fripp and Rev. Mike Truitt officiating. Burial will follow the service 
at Tazewell Cemetery with Rev. David Chapman officiating. The family will greet 
friends on Wednesday, March 15, 2023, from 6:00-8:00PM at Way-Watson Funeral 
Home in Buena Vista, GA. Serving as pallbearers will be Craig Davis, Scotty 
Irvin, Allen Veal, Brad Vanlerberghe , Joe Hanolin, and Tony Harbuck. Honorary 
pallbearers will be Terry Whaley, Josh Veal, Dayne Webster, Ryan Underwood, 
Landon Cromer, David Barton, and Nick Culp.

Todd was born April 4, 1973, in Americus, GA, to Mickey Keith Taylor and Darlene 
Cromer Taylor. He liked driving trucks and was proud to be the owner/operator of 
3T Trucking. Todd loved listening to music, riding dirt roads, hunting and 
fishing.  He would sit in the deer stand all day.  Todd enjoyed hunting for 
arrowheads and making arrowheads and knives.  He loved to ride motorcycles and 
dirt bikes with his son, Lucas.  He was preceded in death by his father, Mickey 
Keith Taylor and his father-in-law, Tommy Whaley.

He is survived by his wife, Stacie Whaley Taylor of Buena Vista, GA; by two 
daughters and sons-in-law, Ryan and Adam Duke of Temple, GA, and Nikki and Shawn 
Bishop of Carrolton, GA;a son, Lucas Taylor of Buena Vista, GA; by his mother, 
Darlene Taylor of Ellaville, GA; a sister and brother-in-law, Brooke and Brian 
Belcher of Ellaville, GA; a brother and sister-in-law, Josh and Lori Taylor; a 
brother-in-law, Terry Whaley of Buena Vista, GA; his mother-in-law, Rosalind 
Whaley of Buena Vista, GA; four grandchildren, Sawyer Bishop, Maddy Duke, Evie 
Duke, and Kane Duke and one on the way, Spencer Duke. Numerous nieces, nephews, 
aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends also survive
