Joyce (Callier) Turner
November 5, 1942 ~ March 4, 2020 (age 77)

Mrs. Joyce Turner, age 77, departed this life on Wednesday, March 4, 2020. 
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, March, 8, 2020 at 2:00 PM 
at Five Points Baptist Church with Rev. David Chapman officiating.  Burial 
will follow in the Five Points Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Patrick Turner, 
Tracy Watson, Larry Whitley, Country Turner, Patrick Elliot, and Brandon 
Grier. The family will greet friends at Way-Watson Funeral Home, Buena Vista 
on Saturday, March 7, 2020 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM.

The daughter of the late Frank and Sallie Callier, Joyce was a longtime 
resident of Marion County.  She was a nurse at the senior care home in Buena 
Vista until her retirement.  After retiring, Joyce enjoyed feeding hordes of 
hummingbirds, taking care of her plants and goldfish pond, collecting pigs, 
and visiting with her daughter and friends.  She was preceded in death by two 
sisters, Lillian Bassett and Lilton Rigsby and two brothers, Clarence Callier 
and William Callier.

Joyce is remembered and loved by her husband of over 40 years, William N. 
“Bill” Turner, daughter, Lynne Brown, grandson, David Beasley, sister, Ann 
Watson, Goldie the dog and many nieces and nephews.

Way-Watson Funeral Home of Buena Vista, Georgia is in charge of arrangements.
