HAROLD CLAYTON [VAN]VAN METER  AUGUST 24, 1936 - AUGUST 10,2005 BUENA VISTA, GA.

MR VAN METER PASSED AWAY AT HIS HOME IN BUENA VISTA. GA AFTER A LONG ILLNESS. 
HE WAS BORN IN COLUMBUS, GA. THE SON OF EDMUND BAKER AND JOHNNIE MARTIN VAN 
METER. HE IS SURVIVED BY HIS WIFE,JULIA HERRING;HIS DAUGHTER,DANA PIGFORD[ 
STEVE] OF FAYETTEVILLE,GA;HIS DAUGHTER,CONNIE WILKES[MACK] OF COLUMBUS,GA;HIS 
SON, CLAY VAN METER[KISTY] OF SENOI,GA; HIS SISTER,JUDY PARRIS[CHUCK] OF 
HUNTERSVILLE,NC; HIS NINE GRANDCHILDREN;HIS SISTER-IN-LAW,BURGIN BENSON [SIMS] 
AND FOUR NIECES AND NEPHEWS.
FUNERAL SREVICES WILL BE FRIDAY,AUGUST 12,AT 3P.M..BURIAL WILL BE IN BUENA 
VISTA CEMETERY PER TANTE FUNERAL HOME IN BUENA VISTA,GA. 

Additional Comments:
Mr Van Meter also lived in Hilton Head Island,South Carolina. He served in US 
Army. Member of Downtown Columbus Rotary Club,Director of Boy Scouts of America,
he was also a member of the Professional Tennis Registry.
