Mary Lucille Green Veal August 24, 1918- December 9, 2006 JUNIPER, GA— Mary 
Lucille Green Veal, 88, died Saturday, December 9, 2006, at her home in 
Juniper. The funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 12, 2006, at 3 
p.m. at Oakland Baptist Church in Marion County. Interment will follow 
immediately in the church cemetery. Rev. Brian Fuller and Rev. Sidney Jones 
will conduct the services. The family will receive friends at the Tante Funeral 
Home Chapel on Monday, December 11, from 6 to 8 p.m. Mrs. Veal was born August 
24, 1918, in Stewart County, GA, to William Joseph and Irene Hart Green. She 
had lived in Juniper since 1950. She loved baking, crafting and sewing and 
giving what she made away to others. She was loved and known to all as "Granny 
Veal." She was preceded in death by her parents and by her husband, Bert B. 
Veal. Survivors include a son, Bert Allen Veal (Frances) of Juniper; daughters, 
Barbara Stevenson (Steve) of Laurens, SC, Irene Snider (Perry) of Juniper, 
Velma Bentley (Ralph) of Juniper and Rosa Mae Payne of Columbus, GA; a brother, 
Woody Green of Louisiana; and special friends Naomi Leverett, Lola Watson, and 
Oakland Baptist Church Friends. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 25 
great-grandchildren, and by seven great-great-grandchildren. Tante Funeral Home 
of Buena Vista, GA, is in charge of arrangements.
