Mrs. Katie Brown Walton ,age 84, 332 Gevena Rd. Buena Vista, Ga. passed 
Thursday morning, Feburary 17,2005 at the Sumter Regional Hospital in Americus, 
GA.
Funeral services were held at 2pm , Wednesday, Feb.23,2005 at Mahalia Chapel 
African Methodist Episcopal Church in Buena Vista, Marion Co, Ga.Interment 
followed in Tazwell Cemetery, Tazwell, GA.
Mrs Katie Brown Walton was born November 27,1920 to the late Tom Brown and Mary 
Kelly Brown in Marion Co, Ga. 
Katie Married the late James Walton and to this union ten children were born. 
She was preceded in death by five children which included two babies, Heyward 
Walton,Sr, Ossie Walton and Elmer Walton. She was also preceded in death by 11 
siblings: Rose,Jessie,Essie,Eva,Ollie, Bessie, Carlton, Willie Drain, 
Wilbur,Emmitt and Allen.
Survivors are: Children are: Howard Walton(Isabelle),Jewel Kilebrew both of 
Buena Vista, Ga. Essie Walton of Brooklyn, NY, Aaron Walton (Merrian) of Stone 
Mountain,Ga. Velma Walton of Brooklyn,NY Pamela Arnold of Miami,Fl,Daughter-in-
law Annie Rose Walton of Buena Vista, Ga. Siblings: Thelma sales, Elizabeth 
English(Nathaniel) both of Brooklyn, NY: 16 Grandchildren,27 great 
grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. 
Oglethrope Funeral Chapel,Inc. of Oglethrope, Ga. was in charge of 
arrangements.
