Wells, one of Marion’s best citizens, died at his home at 6 o’clock yesterday afternoon one week ago after an illness of twenty-four hours of biliouor cramp colic. He was taken sick the day before his death and when the doctor arrived he was then unconscious. His sons were in Columbus when the death occurred, having gone there by wagon and they were telegraphed for. The funeral was delayed until Saturday morning on account of the absence of his sons, when the remains were laid to rest in the Methodist cemetery in Buena Vista. He was about sixty years old and leaves a large family to mourn his death.
