A Sad Death

Buena Vista experienced a sad death Wednesday afternoon when the spirit of Miss 
Augusta Williams took its flight to that unknown beyond.  Miss Gussie was a 
lovely character and will be greatly missed from the family circle and from her 
circle of friends.  She had been seriously sick for two or three weeks with an 
eye trouble from which she suffered untold agony, but death came and relieved 
her after human skill failed.  The remains were laid to rest yesterday at the 
Methodist cemetery in the presence of sorrowing relations and friends.

Miss Gussie was a member of the Methodist church and was a Christian young 
lady.  The family have the sympathy of our entire people in the hour of their 
bereavement.

Augusta’s last illness is most comforting, and to them we wish to express our 
sincere thanks.
