In Memoriam

Lucy Mitchell was born in Harris County, Georgia and was married to James. L. 
Wilson Oct. 1st, 1890, at Roberts, Florida.  Six children were born to them, 
two being dead.  She was thirty nine years of age and joined the Methodist 
church in the year 1905, and lived an exemplary Christian life until death 
released her on the sixth day of June, 1907.

Beautiful as the close of a fair day ended the life of Mrs. Wilson.  Each day 
she endeavored to contribute to the sum of life’s betterment, payment for all 
the good she received.  Devoted to her husband, home and children, her filial 
affection was developed to the highest sympathetic quality.  Ever anxious for 
the best interest of those she loved, a kind, true friend, she enobled each 
relationship of life which was given her to fill.  Even when physical nature 
was frail and shattered, she did not forgo her obligations to home and friends, 
but continued to administer until the sounds in the hourglass ran low, and 
tired nature was out worn.  Softly, sweetly as the close of a beautiful strain 
of music, her spirit passed to the Great Beyond.  Beneath the waving flowers 
she is sleeping and beauty immortal shall awaken on the resurrection morn.
