WALTON, FRANK
Mr. Walton was born November 26, 1935, in Marion County, GA, son of Philmore 
and Lola Lee Thomas Walton.  He was 4th of 15 children and attended public 
schools in Marion County, GA. He was a member of Bethel A.M.E. Church in Buena 
Vista, GA.  He moved to West Palm Beach, FL, then in 1968 moved to Detroit, 
MI.  He was employed with the Chrysler Corporation and was owner of Walton’s 
Auto Garage.  He married Juanita Bivins on August 24, 1968.  He died Friday, 
February 22, 1991 at the Henry Ford Memorial Hospital in Detroit, MI.  Funeral 
services were held at 2:00, Thursday, February 28, 1991 at Cool Spring 
Missionary Baptist Church, Drainesville Community, Buena Vista, Marion County, 
GA.
Alonzo Walton, Evangelistic Ministry, officiated.  Burial in Cool Spring 
Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery Nephews served as pallbearers.  Survivors 
include: his parents, his wife and 8 children: Mr. Byron (Stassa)Walton, Mr 
Granado (Kim) Walton, Mr Theron (Misty) Walton, Kimberly (Charles) Jones, Ms 
Frankie Walton of Detroit, MI, Tracheta (Steve) Irons, US Army, Panama, Cheryl 
(John) Mayers of Chicago, IL, and Curtis Walton of Buena Vista, GA. 28 
grandchildren, 13 brothers and sisters: Cornelia (Robert L) Weeks, Louise 
(Shelby) Matthews, Lillian Walton Hill of Columbus, GA, Mrs. Vera (Zachariah 
Sr.)  Times, Marjorie and Gwendolyn Walton of Atlanta, GA, Annie L (Stanley) 
Clark of Brooklyn, NY, Mamie Lue (Andrew) Hicks of Tuscon, AZ,  Mr. Horace 
(Lois) Walton of Chicago, IL, Mr. Arthur (Myrtle) Walton of Harvey, IL; Mr. 
John W (Mary) Walton of Detroit, MI, Evangelist Alonzo (Betty) Walton of 
Duarte, CT, Mr Arthur (Dovie) Walton of Jackson, MI, mother-in-law, Mrs. Nan 
Bivins of Buena Vista, GA, nieces, nephews and cousins.
