WALTON, LOTTIE MAE PALMER
Mrs. Walton was born August 23, 1904 in Marion County, GA, daughter of 
Herschel A and Mariah Palmer, Sr.  She was one of 18 of their children, 13 
preceded her in death.  She was wed to Mr. Alonzo Walton, Sr. , May 12, 1928.  
They had 3 sons, (2 preceded her in death Lacey Edward Walton and Alonzo 
Walton Jr.).  Mrs. Walton died at 2:00 a.m., March 11, 1980.  
Funeral services were held at 2:00, Saturday, March 15, 1980 at Mt Olive 
Baptist Church in Tazewell, Marion County, GA; Reverend
Pastor Willie Campbell officiated.  Burial in Mt Olive Baptist Church 
Cemetery.  Survivors include her husband and one son, Mr. Willie Clarence 
(Betha Mae Walker) Walton.  1 brother, Reverend H A (Mamie) Palmer of Junction 
City, GA, 3 sisters: Mrs. Annie Hampton of Bronx, NY, Mrs. Willie P Fontaine 
of Dorchester, MA, and Mrs. Jakie Lee (Joseph) King of Butler, GA.  Other 
sisters-in-law include Mr. Ethel Palmer of Cleveland, OH, Mrs. Mamie Porterand 
Mrs. Katie Walton, both of Buena Vista, GA and Mr. Joe King of Butler, GA.  A 
daughter-in-law, Mrs. Bertha Mae Walton of Buena Vista, GA; 7 grandchildren, 
great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
