It has been some time since our little city was so shocked as it was early 
Tuesday morning by the announcement that death, with its ever cruel blast, had 
suddenly removed from us the young, beautiful life of Miss Susie Walton.  
Possessing all qualities of mind and heart that make life glow with interest, 
we may safely say, that no young lady was ever more universally esteemed by 
those who knew her.

While we grieve for her may we be comforted with the thought that the 
Providential hand reaps wisely, and today Susie is at rest eternally with so 
many of her own loved ones who have preceded her to the land beyond, and that 
it will be our privilege to be with her again some day.
