James Larry Welch
July 10, 1944 ~ November 10, 2017 (age 73)
James Larry Welch, 73, of Buena Vista, GA, died Friday, November 10, 2017 at 
Four County Health and Rehab in Richland, GA.
A graveside funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, November 12, 
2017, at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery with Clarence Welch officiating.
Mr. Welch was born July 10, 1944, in Marion County the son of the late James 
Thomas Welch and Florine Wilson Welch. Baptist by faith, he was a member of 
Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. He loved to raise birds and chickens.  Mr. Welch 
liked the outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was formerly employed 
as a construction worker in Mapleton, GA. In addition to his parents, he was 
preceded in death by two brothers, Billy Welch and Ronnie Welch, and two 
sisters, Juanita Snider and Betty Sollers.
He is survived by a daughter, Donna Lynn Welch; three sisters, Nell Purvis of 
Americus, GA, Rosla Plant of Greenville, GA, and Laverne Purvis of Americus, 
GA. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Four County Health and Rehab, 124 
Overby Drive, Richland, GA 31825.
Watson-Tante Funeral Home of Buena Vista, Georgia, is in charge of these 
arrangements.
