Bennie Thomas Welch April 21, 1934- June 26, 2007 BUENA VISTA, GA— Bennie 
Thomas Welch, 73, died Tuesday, June 26, 2007 at his home in Buena Vista. A 
graveside service will be held Thursday, June 28, at 11 a.m. at New Providence 
Cemetery in Marion County, Georgia with Reverend David Chapman and Reverend 
Brian Fuller officiating. Music will be provided by Jimmy and Liz Stubbs. 
Pallbearers will be Clide Grier, Jimmy Isom, Bobby Stubbs, Kyle Snider, Larry 
Chapman and Mike McClellan. Honorary pallbearers will be Mack Williams, Horace 
Snider and Vance McCorkle. The family received friends at Tante Funeral Home in 
Buena Vista, Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. Mr. Welch was born April 21, 1934 in 
Marion County, Georgia to William Murray and Lucile Dabbs Welch. He was 
preceded in death by his parents and by two brothers, Garnet Eugene Welch and 
Larry James Welch. He was a life-long resident of Marion County. He is survived 
by three brothers: Charles Edward Welch, John Carl Welch and wife Shirley and 
Tim Welch, all of Buena Vista; four sisters: Jackie Turner and husband C.T. of 
Buena Vista, Frances Daniel and husband Dagwood, Carolyn Stubbs, all of Mauk, 
Georgia, and Betty Edgington and husband Dwight of Xenia, Illinois; one sister-
in-law Dolly Welch of Box Springs, Georgia; and numerous nieces and nephews. 
Tante Funeral Home of Buena Vista is in charge of arrangements.
