William M. "Tim" Welch June 22, 1944- May 9, 2008 BUENA VISTA, GA— William 
M. "Tim" Welch, 63, died Friday, May 9, 2008, in Buena Vista. A graveside 
service will be held Monday, May 12, at 11 a.m. at New Providence Cemetery in 
Marion County, Georgia with Reverend David Chapman and Reverend Brian Fuller 
officiating. Music will be provided by Jimmy and Liz Stubbs. Pallbearers will 
be Bobby Stubbs, Kyle Snider, J.W. Isom, Earl Turner, Pete Daniel, and Jamie 
Littleton. Honorary pallbearers will be Seth Williams, Horace Snider and Mike 
McClellan. The family will receive friends today from 6 to 8 at Tante Funeral 
Home in Buena Vista. Mr. Welch was born June 22, 1944, in Marion County, 
Georgia to William Murray and Lucile Dabbs Welch. He was preceded in death by 
his parents and by three brothers, Garnet Eugene Welch, Larry James Welch, and 
Bennie Thomas Welch. He is survived by two brothers: Charles Edward Welch of 
Buena Vista and John Carl Welch and wife Shirley of Smith Station, Alabama; 
four sisters: Jackie Turner and husband C.T. of Buena Vista, Frances Daniel and 
Carolyn Stubbs, of Mauk, Georgia, and Betty Edgington and husband Dwight of 
Xenia, Illinois; one sister-in-law Dolly Welch of Box Springs, Georgia; and 
numerous nieces and nephews. Tante Funeral Home of Buena Vista is in charge of 
arrangements.
