Tante Funeral Home    July 2008
Buena Vista, GA – Edna Barrett Wells, 76, died Sunday, July 6, 2008 at 
Magnolia Manor of Marion County in Buena Vista.  

Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 8, 2008 at 11 a.m. at Union United 
Methodist Church with Rev. John Homer and Bill Harris officiating. Music was 
provided by Jo Ward, Loxi Jones, Seleta Rogers and the Church Choir. Burial 
followed in the church cemetery. The family received friends Monday evening at 
Tante Funeral Home in Buena Vista.

Mrs. Wells was born in Macon County, GA on July 13, 1931 to Charlie Franklin 
and Pearl Coltrane Barrett.  She was preceded in death by her parents, by her 
husband Henry Glenn Wells, by a sister Ora Satterfield and by brothers Thomas 
Barrett, Charlie Barrett, Clifford Barrett, Albert Barrett and Henry Barrett. 
She lived in Macon County all her life until moving to Marion County in 2002. 
She was a member of Union United Methodist Church and loved the church and the 
fellowship there. She also had very special friends at the Senior Center in 
Buena Vista.

Mrs. Wells is survived by her son Jay P. Wells and his wife, Faye of Buena 
Vista; by two grandchildren Michael Bryan Wells and Andrew Jay Wells and by a 
sister Ruby Barrett of Ellaville.

Flowers are accepted or memorial gifts may be made to the American Cancer 
Society, c/o Judy Wells, 304 George Welch Road, Buena Vista, GA  31803 or to 
Union United Methodist Church, c/o Jean Powell, 952 Harts Mill Road, Buena 
Vista, GA  31803.

Tante Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. Serving as active 
pallbearers were Edward Barrett, Tommy Barrett, David Barret, Allen Barrett, 
Roy Barrett, Richard Barrett, Elton Jones, and Dan Jones.
