Harris Malcolm Williams, 83, of Box Springs, GA, died Sunday, April 17, 2011, 
in Columbus, GA.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday April 20, 2011, at Trinity 
Freewill Baptist Church at 3:00 pm with Reverend Terry Tribble officiating. 
Music will be provided by Alane Patterson.

Mr. Williams was born May 7, 1927, in Cook County, Georgia, to Austin Union 
and Katie Beatrice Taylor Williams. He was a member of Trinity Freewill 
Baptist Church. He moved to Taylor County in 1972 and later to Marion County 
in 1998.  He had been employed as a school bus driver by the Taylor county 
Board of Education, a carpenter at a trailer plant, and was self-employed as a 
farmer. He was a Navy veteran and had served in World War II. In addition to 
his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Frank Williams and 
Wilmer Williams and by two grandchildren, Randy Williams and Kayren Harris.

He is survived by his wife, Bess Williams of Box Springs, GA; by a son, Fred 
Jackson of New Port, TN; by five daughters, Judy Trammell of Butler, GA, Sue 
Williams of Mauk, GA, Debbie Taylor of Mauk, GA, Carol & David Welch of Mauk, 
GA, and Kaye Jackson of Box Springs, GA; and by a brother, A. U. Williams. 8 
Grandchildren, 9 Great-Grandchildren and 2 Great-Great Grandchildren also 
survive.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Vista Care Hospice, 100 
Brookstone Center Parkway, Columbus, GA, 31904 or to Gideon International.

Watson-Tante Funeral Home of Buena Vista, GA is in charge of arrangements.
