 Bill Tom Wooldridge, 67, of Buena Vista, died Monday, January 11, 2010, at 
his residence.

A graveside funeral service was held 2:00 PM Friday, January 15, at Pineville 
Cemetery in Marion County with Reverend Clay Matthews officiating. Serving as 
active pallbearers were Dewey Carter, Bobby McCorkle, Butch McMickle, Tommy 
Chapman, Waymon Tyler, Jack Wyrick, and Rocky Wade. Honorary pallbearers were 
John Blomeyer, Dr. Alluri Raju, Dr. George Ellerd, Suzanne Starke, David 
Barrett, Rick McBride and Amos Kemp.  The family received friends at Tante 
Funeral Home on Thursday, January 14, from 6-8 PM.

Mr. Wooldridge was born June 28, 1942, in Buena Vista, to Marvin B. and Eloise 
Watts Wooldridge. He was a native of Buena Vista and graduated from Marion 
County High School. He was a graduate of Auburn University and was employed as 
a pharmacist. He served in the US Army as a Lieutenant Colonel in the Army 
Medical Service Corps IRR.  He was a member of New Community Baptist Church in 
Buena Vista. He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife Mary Wooldridge of Buena Vista; by a son Major 
Christopher Wooldridge and wife Jamie of Penrose, CO; by a daughter, Carrie 
Stevenson of Buena Vista; a brother Bobby Wooldridge of Buena Vista; and a 
sister, Eugenia Parker and husband D. R. of Twin City, GA. Four granchildren, 
Joel Stevenson, Chloe Stevenson, Annmarie Wooldridge, and Cody Wooldridge also 
survive.

Tante Funeral Home of Buena Vista, Georgia, was in charge of arrangements.
