Brooks & Carter

On Monday afternoon last at 2:30 o’clock Capt. Robert Brooks, of Macon was
married to Mrs. Lucy Carter.  The ceremony was performed by Rev. I. F. Friffith
[Griffith?] at the bride’s home in Marion county.  For many years Capt. Brooks
was a citizen of Talbot county and he has scores of friends here who wish for
himself and bride a happy and prosperous future.  The couple left for their home
in Macon immediately after the marriage. Talbotton News.

Mrs. Brooks is the mother of Homer Carter and sister of Messrs. J. E. And C. D.
Moore, of Buena Vista.
