The marriage took place at Brantley at the home of Mr. Joe Short. The bride is the attractive and accomplished daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sam Mitchell and is well known throughout this section. The groom is a rural carrier from Mauk Route 1. He is a fine young man of excellent qualities and energetic. And of one of the best families of this section. The happy couple left Wednesday afternoon on their honeymoon to Atlanta and other points of interest returning Saturday and will make their home with the groom’s parents. Their many friends extend congratulations and wish for them a long and happy life.
