Jones, of Draneville, was married to Miss Emma Cranford, of Terrell County, last Wednesday. Immediately after the consummation they repaired to the home of the groom’s mother, near Draneville, in this county, where they were tendered one of the most elegant receptions known to the community of Draneville for years. The supper was prepared under the direction and supervision of Mrs. P.P. Jones, conspicuously known as a generous, hospitable, heroic woman. The groom is the son of this woman who early taught him the object of his being, and he has honest inherited the pre-requisites to a useful and successful life – pluck, industry, energy, skill and above all, honor. The bride is a noble woman and will make him an honorable wife. She’s from a good family and was an acknowledged belle in her community prior to the marriage. May their troubles be light as vapor, their successes as heavy and numerous as the raindrops, and their whole life be a continued round of happiness and peace.
