Jones, formerly of Pineville, but now with the S.A.L. Railroad located at Dawson, led to “Hymen’s Altar” on April 1st, the charming Miss Foy McGill also of Dawson. It was a “Gretna Green” affair, owing to parental objection on account of the ages of the contracting parties; Mr. Jones being 20 and his bride 16 years old. The young people not to be deterred had previously procured a license, and under the pretense of taking a ride they drove to the home of the Justice of the Peace, who performed the ceremony for them. Charles and his bride have the best wishes of his many friends at and around Pineville.
