Miss Resie returned to her home here and Mr. Wynn went to St. Augustine, Fla., where he was engaged in business. The matter leaked out somehow and Dr. Philpot, grandfather of the groom, acting as peacemaker and pacifier, was here Sunday and Miss Resie, or rather Mrs. Wynn returned to Talbotton and Mr. Wynn was telegraphed for. The only objection seemed to be to the ages of both parties – the groom being nineteen and the bride seventeen years of age. Miss Resie was exceedingly pretty and her personal charms very attractive. There is a little romance attached to this wedding that is not generally known. When Miss Resie first saw the light of this world Dr. Philpot was present, and she being such a pretty little tot the doctor asked the privilege of naming her which was granted and he named her Resie for his wife. So it is a little romantic that after seventeen years the doctor should call for her and claim her as his granddaughter. We wish Mr. and Mrs. Wynn many years of happiness.
