Spinks – Thaggard

Mr. Lit Spinks, of Llano, Texas and Miss Fannie Thaggard were married on 
Thursday, October the 9th.  They left Sunday for their home in the Lone Star 
state.

There is a tinge of romance connected with the wedding.  Mr. Spinks is a man of 
sixty years and his wife is about forty.  Mr. Spinks moved from this county to 
Texas many years ago and they knew each other in their younger days.  Not long 
ago, Mr. Spinks, becoming tired of single life, wrote a friendly letter to Miss 
Thaggard and asked her to help him find a wife.  She wrote and offered to 
assist him all she could, and the correspondence between them was kept up 
until  they became attached to each other which resulted in their marriage.
