The Marion County Patriot, No. 11 March 13, 1903 Page One Merritt – Lee One of the prettiest home marriages witnessed at Buena Vista in many days took place Wednesday morning at 9 o’clock when Mr. George William Lee and Miss Nannie Merritt were made man and wife. The ceremony was performed at the home of Mr. Geo. P. Munro by Rev. W.W. Arnold, of Richland, and witnessed by a number of invited guests. The parlor was beautifully decorated with ferns, violets and jonquils. The bride carried a large bouquet of carnations and was never more beautiful than on this occasion. She was one of Buena Vista’s beauties and a most lovable young lady. The groom is a prominent and successful businessman of Parrott, who has already accumulated a comfortable fortune and has very bright prospects in a business way.
