Church. The fearful rain which lasted nearly all the afternoon prevented many, who intended coming, from being present, yet the church was crowded. The decorations were carried out in white and green, with ferns, pot plants and cut roses. The church was darkened and the lights on giving a most beautiful effect. The bridal party entered to the strains of Lohengrin, Miss Edna Weaver, the winsome and accomplished daughter of Mr. J.J. Weaver, presiding at the organ. The attendants were Miss Eugenia Chandler and Mr. W.H. Posey, of this place, Miss Martha Wood, of Paschal and Mr. Sam Harris, of Brantley. The ceremony was performed by Mr. Thomas, of Geneva, in a most pleasing and impressive manner. The bride’s maids wore dainty white dresses with pink girdles and carried pink roses. The bride, who is a pretty brunette, never looked more lovely than on this occasion. She wore a becoming and very pretty gown of white and carried a bouquet of white roses. A long veil of tulle enveloped her from the crown of her head to the hem of her skirt and was caught to the hair with a diamond pin. Quite a number of beautiful gifts attested to the popularity of the young couple. After the marriage the bridal party repaired to their future home, at Mr. and Mrs. J.A. Posey’s, where they all spent a very pleasant evening. The bride is the attractive and lovely daughter of Mr. Munro Taylor, a prosperous planter near Juniper, and has won scores of friends by her amiability and gentleness. Mr. Harris is in the mail service here and possesses the esteem of all who know him.
