Marion Co, Georgia Written: February 10, 1829 Recorded: January 23, 1830 Last Will & Testament of John Joiner Will book A (?), page 70 Georgia Marion County Know all men by their presents that I John Joiner do this tenth day of February in the year of Our Lord One thousand eight hundred and Twenty nine make my last will and testament, dividing my property as follows first I give and bequeath to my beloved wife Sarah Joiner three tracts of land Six hundred seven & a half acres lying and being in the County of Lawrence (Laurens), also one-lot of land known by two hundred & thirty nine the fourth district Marion County, Also all the farming tools also one three year old Filly, also one lot of land in the District of Lee number two hundred & six also all the cattle and hogs that is claimed by her hus-band, the above property is to belong to my wife during her life, then she has the disposition of her property as she pleases. second I give and bequeath to daughter Harriet Blanchard and her husband one dollar. the 3rd I give and bequeath to my daughter Cellia Joiner one negro boy namely the name of Toney. fourth I give and bequeath to my son Henry Joiner fifty acres of land being number two hundred & six in the nineteenth district Lee Fifth I give and bequeath to my son John Joiner Fifty acres of the same tract above described Sixth I give and bequeath to my son in law Benjamin Blanchard Fifty acres of the same tract of land next above mentioned Seventh I give and bequeath to my Grand son John Blanchard Fifty acres of land off the tract of land last above mentioned number Two hundred & six in the nineteenth district of Lee. Eighth I give and bequeath to my daughter Elsey Joiner one year old colt Ninth I give and bequeath to my son Green Joiner one lot of Cattle Tenth I give and bequeath to my son Stokes Joiner one negro boy known by the name of Stephen Eleventh I give and bequeath to my son T. J. Joiner one lot of Cattle Twelfth I give and bequeath to my daughter Martha Joiner one negro boy named pleasant Thirteenth I give and bequeath to my daughter Mary Joiner one negro woman named Jenny and issue for ever This will had been wrote word for word as I John Joiner directed Given under my hand and seal the dates above written John Joiner (seal) signed sealeed and delivered in the presence of Edward H. Hall Wm W. Creighton This day came William W. Creighton being duly sworn saith that he was present and saw John Joiner execute this will as his last testament and that E.H.
