I do bequeath to my beloved son, Richmond Watson, one dollar, and to Willis Watson I give one dollar, and to my beloved daughter Sealy Elkins I give one dollar, and my daughter Mary Elkins I give one dollar, and to my son Benj. R Watson I give one dollar, and to Michael Perry Watson I give one dollar and Arthur A Watson I give one dollar, and to Elendor Watson I give one dollar, and to my beloved wife Sarah Watson and her four children, Julius More Watson, and Sarena A. Watson, and Elijah Watson, and Winny Watson, I do give the following property, "to wit, Lot of land No. 43, and also Lot 53, and the east half of No 22 all in the twelvth District of old Muscogee now Marion County and my stock of hogs, and three feather beds furniture and besteads, and one brass clock, and one loom, and all the household and kitchen furniture and all my plantation tools, And I leave my wife Sarah Watson, and my son Willis Watson, my Executors of my Estate and to keep all the property together until the youngest child becomes of age, and then to be equally divided which is my will, in God amen. This the twentieth day of November 1844, ane [sic] hereunto I set my hand and fix my seal in presence of us Michael Watson LS Thos Burge William Hurst Elijah Philip Georgia In person appeared before me Solomon Wall a justice of the Marion County Inferior Court of said county Thomas Burge, who being duly sworn, saith that the within Will is a copy in substance of the original Will made by Michael Watson. Thomas Burge Sworn to and subscribed before me, July 6th 1846 Solomon Wall J.I.C. Georgia In person appeared B. W. Dowd who, being duly sworn, saith that Marion County a Will made by Michael Watson was burned at the late burning of the Court House in said county, to the best of his nolwedge [sic] and belief. B W Dowd Sworn to and subsctibed before me this 8th of July 1846 Solomon Wall J.I.C. Court of Ordinary May Term 1845 Georgia The within Last Will and Testament of Michael Watson having Marion County been duly proven at this July Term Inferior Court upon the oath of Thos. Burge William Hurst and Elijah Philips. Ordered that the same be admitted to Record. Court of Ordinary July Term 1846 It appearing to the Court upon the oath of Thos. Burge and Burton W. Dowd that the within is a copy in substance of the original Will and that the original has been destroyed by fire Therefore Ordered by the Court that the within Copy be established in lieu of said Original.
