CONFEDERATES BURIED IN THOMSON CEMETERY



Though there are many Local Confederate Veterans
Buried in the City Cemetery there is also a small
section of five Graves belonging to Soldiers who
died in Thomson during the war far from their Home
and Loved ones.


The Five Graves are marked as Follows


Wm Daniels     NC Reg


Hill


E.T. Thornton     Ala Reg


T.W. Toms    Waco Parish LA


Unknown


The Unknown is listed as a Soldier taken from the
train in Thomson so sick he could give no identity
and died a few days later.


This  Five Grave section was cared for for many
years by the  Local Chapter of the United Daughters
of the Confederacy.
