Rhodes Alvin B. Rhodes of 119 Norwood Road, Warrenton, died Monday, March 26, at his residence. Funeral services were held Wednesday, March 28 at 2 p. m. in the Warrenton Baptist Church with Rev. Ed Hightower officiating, assisted by Dr. Amplus Howard. Burial was in the Harris Family Cemetery at Dearing with Masonic rites. He was a native of Taliaferro County, but had lived in Warrenton for the past 34 years. He was a member of the Franklin Masonic Lodge 11, Warrenton, a deacon of the Baptist Church and a Shriner. He was a retired employee of the Georgia Power Company with 37 years of service. He was owner and operator of the Ogecchee River Corn Mill. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Mary W. Rhodes, Warrenton, one daughter, Mrs. Charles Musselwhite, Gainesville, and one sister, Mrs. Lee Heady, Jacksonville, FL. Pallbearers included the deacons of the Baptist Church.
