ANSLEY "Georgia Warren County In the name of God Amen I Elam F. Ansley of Said State and County knowing the certainty of death and the uncertainty of life deem it right and proper, both as respects myself and my family that I should make a disposition of the property with which a kind Providence has blessed me. I therefore make this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking and Annulling all others heretofore made by me. Item First" I will and direct that all my just debts be paid as soon as the circumstances will admit of its being done. Item Second" After my just debts are paid I will to my wife Rachel Ansley and to my children now in life and those that may be born to me, all the rest of my property both real and personal and also all moneys notes and accounts I may have on hand at my death, all the above to be kept together during the natural life or widowhood of my wife for the Joint use and benefit of the whole in maintaining educating and supporting them. Provided however my wife should marry, then the whole of my estate and effects above mentioned to be Sold and the proceeds to be equally divided between her and my children that may be living, share and share alike equally, or at the death of my wife, the property mentioned to be sold and the proceeds equally divided between my children that may be then living, share and share alike equally. It is furthered my wish and desire that my Mother still remain as one of the family as heretofore, and be entitled to the same privileges she had in the family ! during my life, or so long as she may wish to remain in the family. Item Third" I constitute and appoint my beloved wife Rachael Executrix, and my friend Nicholas C. Bacon Executor to this my last Will and testament. This October 3rd 1863. Elam F.
