Shepard of the said State and County aforesaid, for and in consideration of the sum of two hundred dollars to me in hand paid by William J. Wallace of the same place, the receipt I do hereby acknowledge, have granted bargained and sell unto the said William J. Wallace, his heirs and assigns, the following property/viz/ Amy a Negro girl sixteen years old, together will all the future issue and increase of the said Negro girl Amy. To have and to hold the aforesaid bargained property to him, the said William J. Wallace, his heirs and assigns forever. And I the said Thomas J. Shepard for myself, my heirs, executors and administrators, all and singular, the said bargained property unto the said William J. Wallace, his heirs and assigns against me and my said executors and administrators and against all and every other person and persons whatsoever shall and will warrant and defend by these foresaid.
