Brunson Thomas D. Brunson, for many years a member of the Savannah fire department, who was retired on a pension twelve months ago because of chronic ill health, died in Darien yesterday afternoon. He had been living there with Mrs. Brunson's family for nearly a year. The remains will be received in Savannah at 11:45 o'clock this morning over the Seaboard, and by Henderson Brothers, undertakers, will be conveyed to Laurel Grove Cemetery where the funeral will take place at 12:15 o'clock. Services will be conducted by the Rev. Francis Alan Brown, rector of Christ Church. Mr. Brunson was a member of the Order of American Firemen. A delegation from this organization will meet the remains at the Union Station and act as an escort to the cemetery. During the funeral the firestation bells will be tolled. Mr. Brunson was 50 years old. He was born in Florence, SC. He is survived by two children, the youngest being a son only eight months old. Additional Comments: Thomas Brunson was a fireman and while responding to a fire, he was badly injured. He went on pension and lived at The Ridge with his wife, Isabelle (McGinley) Brunson, daughter of Patrick and Sarah (Doyle) McGinley. She was expecting their first child which was born October 1910.
