Baptism Record


On Sunday, the twenty sixth of July in the year of our Lord,
One thousand eight hundred and one was baptized on the Island
of Sapelo, McIntosh County, Georgia by me priest underwritten,
James Maxime, born on the said Island of Sapelo on the eighth
of June in the year one thousand seven hundred and ninety nine,
of the lawful marriage of James DesVergers and Martha DeLaRue,
his wife; his godfather Joseph Cyrien DeSegur, his godmother
Françoise Genevieve Fortunie DeSegur, the wife of Mario Joseph
Decharon, who have signed with me the present act and the
mother present
