of the American Colonists, Columbus (Georgia) Chapter - FHL US/CAN Film 
[1320503 Item 11]. Available from Family History Library, copyright 2002 
Intellectual Reserve, Inc. Because of the copyright, only the corrections to 
the transcription and other clarifications, based upon documentation, are 
presented here.

(1) Tabitha Mildred McLaughlin, the 3rd daughter of Josiah T. and Mary Ann 
McLaughlin, listed in the record as "Tatosha" Mildred McLaughlin: 1860 Federal 
Census, Meriwether County, Ga.; Interestingly, she used the name T. M. 
Ambrozine McLaughlin for Meriwether County marriage record, Book C, page 95; 
Ambrozine T. Cox,1880 Moore County, N.C. census; Tabith (sic) Cox, 1900 Moore 
County, N.C. census; Ammie Cox, 1910 Moore County, N.C. census; Ammie Cox, 
1920 Lee County, N.C.census.
(2) Absent from this record is Cathryn Isabell "Belle"  McLaughlin, b. 
November 14, 1865, the youngest daughter of Josiah T. and Mary Ann McLaughlin: 
1880 Federal Census Meriwether County, Ga.; marriage certificate Chattahoochee 
County, Ga.; Georgia death certificate #22371.
(3) William and Susannah McLaughlin (listed in the record without explanation) 
were the parents of Josiah T. McLaughlin.
(4) Marriage date for Benjamin F. McLaughlin and Eliza E. Hamby recorded in 
Marriage Book C, page 30,  Meriwether Co., Ga. is January 27, 1868.
(5) Eliza Evelyn (listed in the record as Evaline) Hamby the wife of Benjamin 
F. McLaughlin was born December 12, 1846 (see item 6 below): Georgia death 
certificate #22260-I.
(6) Ada McLaughlin, the oldest daughter of Benjamin F. and Eliza E. 
McLaughlin, is omitted from this record (with her birthdate, January 16, 1870, 
appearing as that of her mother): 1880 Federal Census Meriwether County, Ga.; 
DAR Lineage Book Vol 98, page 5, ID #97014
(7) Benjamin Roy McLaughlin, the oldest son of Benjamin F. and Eliza E. 
McLaughlin, is listed in the record as Benjamin "Ray" McLaughlin: 1910 & 1920 
Federal Census Harris County, Ga.; Georgia death certificate #5834
(8) Walter Evelyn McLaughlin, listed in the record as Walter "Evalina" 
McLaughlin: 1920 Federal Census Meriwether County, Ga.; DAR Lineage Book Vol 
98, page 5, ID #97015; Application for letters of administration upon her late 
husband's estate was made by Mrs. Walter Evelyn McGehee, Meriwether Co. 
Ordinary's Office, January 6, 1915
(9) Louie Hamby McLaughlin, the youngest son of Benjamin F. and Eliza E. 
McLaughlin, listed in the record as "Louise" Hamby McLaughlin: 1900 Federal 
Census Meriwether County, Ga.; Greenville (Ga.) Cemetery gravestone; Georgia 
death certificate #037610
