Bell Biography of Charles P. Bell Charles P. Bell was born in Meriwether Georgia on December 18, 1859, and raised in Meriwether, Carroll, and Fulton Georgia. He was the son of James and Elizabeth Caldwell Bell. He was the brother of Joseph N. Bell, George Washington Bell, James Jefferson Bell, Nancy Elizabeth Bell Butler, Martha Frances Bell Swygert, John Thomas Bell, and Martin Garrett Bell. He married Eula Clara Welding of Coweta County Georgia. He was a member of the Mt. Pilgrim Lutheran Church in Haralson, Coweta, Georgia. He joined the Church on August 23, 1876. He was a farmer and a Carpenter. Charles and Clara had three daughters and one son. Alfie Bell was born in Clem, Carroll, Georgia on November 23, 1883. She married Emmette Fuller on August 3, 1902 in Clem, Carroll, Georgia. Alfie died on October 23, 1907 in Carroll, Georgia during child birth. Clyde Elizabeth Bell born on June 27, 1886, in Clem, Carroll, Georgia. She married Noah Wilson on August 5, 1905 in Clem, Carroll, Georgia. Clyde died on April 30, 1973 in Atlanta, Fulton, Georgia. Leamon Bell was born in 1887 in Clem, Carroll, Georgia. She married Claron L. Patton. Louie Andrew Bell, Sr. was born August 24, 1888 in Clem, Carroll, Georgia. Louie married Carrie Elizabeth Morris. Louie died on September 25, 1954 in Atlanta, Fulton, Georgia. Charles caught Tuberculoses sometimes in the late 1880 and was hospitalized in the early 1900’s. By then, Charles and Clara moved to Atlanta, Fulton, Georgia to be close to the Battle Hill Sanatorium for Tuberculoses patients. Charles died on April 11, 1923 from Consumption. Clara remained in Atlanta and lived at 240 Capitol Avenue. She died on April 10, 1952 at the age of 87. Their home would later be sold to make room for the new Atlanta Fulton County stadium.
